Bruce Jones
Watercolor paintings, Drawings, Small Sculpture
Mostly objective art, all types of subject matter from landscapes and sea scapes to humans and machines.
I retired from computer software and consulting businesses in the Bay Area and moved to Gualala in 2000, and have now lived here more than twice as long as any other place in my life. I have always painted and drawn, but never made a serious attempt at selling art until I moved here. I now sell my art in three galleries, plus the annual Studio Discovery Tour, draw, paint, sculpt, and write short plays and poems just about every day, plus hanging a lot of art shows.
I also do landscaping projects and maintain trails for Gualala Arts and the Redwood Coast Land Conservancy, which often seem like both art forms and exercise programs.
And I am treasurer for the North Coast Artists Guild and Discovery Gallery, and participate regularly on several committees serving the Gualala Arts organization, enabling carrying forward some of my Economics and MBA background.
