Jewelry and Metal Arts
Jewelry made with silver, gold, bronze, precious and semi-precious stones, and leather.
Before studying jewelry and metal arts, I had a long career in the Bay Area fashion industry. When I found metalsmithing, it opened up a whole new way of using materials to make pieces worn on the body. I love draping fabric, and now I love to hammer metal. I love the look of it, and I love the act of it. My jewelry shows the marks of the hammers used to form a flat metal sheet into a three-dimensional shape. The metal is often combined with leather and precious stones, using sewing, lacing, and knotting techniques to make unique jewelry.

My husband and I moved to the North coast in 2021, and that decision has brought us so much happiness, inspiration, and peace of mind. Since we’ve been here I’ve begun to experiment with sculpture and wall pieces in metal and mixed media. I am looking forward to adding more of these larger scale pieces to my work going forward.
